Acoustic Isolation of Frame

A feature that we have recently added as standard to all doors and frames is to acoustically isolate as far as possible the door and frame from the surrounding building structure. This means that when a door is closed (under the controlled action of the LCN door closer) the sound of the door 'banging' will be reduced thereby preventing disturbance to residents. The sound of doors opening and closing late at night can be a problem for some tenants especially those with young children or people who work shifts.

This change was introduced directly as a result of tenant feed back and was something we felt was an important enhancement to our doors and frames.
